Parisian-based Jacquemus is a designer that continually defies the norm with an enlightened approach to designing clothes and producing compelling imagery with his campaigns. For the designer’s recent campaign, Jacquemus decided to forgo clothing and instead opt for bare-skinned couples in a passionate embrace. By normal standards, designers typically release their campaigns in August—but not for Jacquemus. Rather than conforming, the designer dipped out on the typical timeframe and is just now releasing his revealing AW17 campaign.

Shot by David Luraschi, the black and white image doesn’t feature any of the brand’s French-inspired fashion at all. “I would like to create a timeless image of two people kissing themselves without clothes, accessories only their bodies on a chair under a parasol,” stated founder and designer Simon Porte Jacquemus. While the clothes are a missing component, the image is able to personify the Provencal vibe his collections take inspiration from.

As for SS18, expect to see the designer at Paris Fashion Week on September 25 at 8pm.
