Jaded LDN x Sydney Carlson launched on October 3, marking the first collection from the British streetwear label done in partnership with a US collaborator—and for their first one, Sydney Carlson is unquestionably the perfect fit. 

 

The 24-year-old LA-based multi-hyphenate (in addition to being a vlogger and creative, Carlson co-founded the iconic Wildflower Cases) has been long revered for her edgy, authentic style; Instagram fan pages dedicated to her chic and sleek vibes have been made dozens of times over, serving as digital shrines to Carlson’s personal style, wavering between California casual and Los Angeles luxury, always dosed with a touch of her own rebelliousness—a natural fit for Jaded LDN, an online outlet specializing in trends elevated to a louder volume, a more intense saturation. 

 

 

“I’ve always been the biggest fan of Jaded LDN and their clothes,” said Carlson. “Their clothes have always really spoken out to me and been very out there, and I feel like that’s how I’ve always wanted my style to be. Their clothes just made so much sense to me.”

 

The collection is a colorful union between the playful-yet-poised appeal of Jaded LDN and the relaxed-yet-sexy vibe of Carlson, resulting in a magnetic fusion between LA and London, translated into cropped bra tops with glove sleeves, thermal heat map prints on tanks and baggy jeans, body-con dresses with skin-baring cutouts and, of course, Wildflower Cases sharing prints with different pieces from the collection. 

 

“I made a huge Pinterest board with everything that inspired me and sent it to [Jaded LDN],” said Carlson about the design process, which began in April. “I wanted to be very involved in the designing and what everything would look like. We went back and forth for so long, just creating the exact perfect stuff that we both wanted. I think both of our visions are very similar, so it was not a difficult process. It’s everything I could have dreamed of.”

Carlson is no stranger to a daring fit, and Jaded LDN is no stranger to bringing the most edgy of pieces into an every day wardrobe. Signature silhouettes are imprinted with Carlson’s love of graphics and vintage vibes; playsuits and going out looks are complete with matching tights; tees, mini dresses, tanks and cardigans are given the Carlson look, effortless and stunning, always Insta ready. 

 

In a collection where every look is a statement look, picking standouts is a process easier said than done—but there’s an appeal for every aesthetic in Jaded LDN x Sydney Carlson. Naturally, Carlson’s favorite pieces are the Sydney Knit Top and the Sydney Knit Skirt, her “easy go-to outfit”: a strappy orange and green knit set, ultra-cropped and adorned with cutouts across the hips, making for a barely-there day-to-night sweater set.

“This collection is everything that I would want in my closet,” said Carlson. “I was just so inspired to do exactly what I’ve always wanted, and what I wanted my wardrobe to look like.”

“Whenever I put any piece on from the collection, it changes my whole mood,” she said. “I just feel more confident and more powerful, honestly.”
