Jayden James Lands His First Cover as MAC’s Newest MACzine Star

The emerging model and musician fronts MACzine after a whirlwind introduction to fashion, with ambitions spanning music and beauty

Jayden James appears on the latest cover of MACzine, marking the 19-year-old model and musician’s first solo magazine cover. Photographed by Sarah Pardini, the feature follows several months of growing visibility in fashion and places him among the emerging figures regularly profiled by MAC’s digital publication.

Although Jayden, the younger son of Britney Spears, spent much of his childhood away from cameras, his career began to take shape this spring. After attending Dior’s Cruise 2027 show in Los Angeles in May, he made his runway debut the following month alongside his older brother, Sean Preston, at Vetements’ Spring/Summer 2027 menswear show during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

However, modeling is only one part of his creative work, as music remains a central focus for both Jayden and Sean Preston, who have discussed writing and recording together. That combination of interests also drew the attention of MAC’s creative team. “Jayden’s unique sensibility makes him the perfect MACzine cover star,” says Nicola Formichetti, the brand’s Global Creative Director, who also praises Jayden’s ability as a pianist and expresses interest in how his work will develop. This issue offers a closer look at how Jayden is approaching modeling and music as connected areas of creative work, while giving him space to introduce himself.
