Jill Sander knows a thing or two about playing with men’s fashion, especially a head-to-toe suit look. The brand knows how to mesh mens- and womenswear well, as every collection is filled with pieces that you can use for everyday wear or for a chic night out look. For Spring/Summer 2022, Jil Sander decided to do a fresh take on one of fashion’s biggest trends with a collection filled with silk fabrics, tiger prints and fridge details. But on par with their signature style, SS22 is filled with all the neutral and pastel colors you know and love from the brand. 

Outside of their suits, the brand presented an array of summery pieces that focused on the silhouette, and exuded femininity. Most of the gowns were of a silk-like material, and were often layered over white bottoms and a baguette-style bag. Their blouses, however, softly draped around the waist much like the handkerchief scarf that hung from the models’ necks. Crochet was also a major component of the collection, with one chevron patterned dress being entirely made of the material. For the evening, Jil Sander welcomed sequin blazers and baby doll gowns alongside their typical buttery fabric. But unexpectedly, our favorite element of the collection was the subtle tiger print that was on some of the coats and collars of blouses. One coat that stood out the most was entirely striped, and had leather shoulder pads and fridge details at the front for a chic yet edgy vibe.
