Allow John Lobb to reintroduce itself to the city of New York.

It’s been over 150 years since the entry of John Lobb in the men’s footwear game, never steering far from the idea that elegance should follow where every man goes. Now, the British brand is reminding us citygoers what it can offer with a new global store concept set on Madison Avenue, designed by French architecture studio ciguë.

Now located on 700 Madison Avenue, the relocation comes 23 years after the brand established its first store stateside just 100 numbers over on the same avenue. This time, the store has doubled in size, featuring a spaceship-esque, built-in capsule (finished in walnut wood and matte metal, of course) that showcases the entire range of its numerous savoir-faire offerings. On top of that, the brand has expanded its services, whether it be updating an old leather, repairing a heel, or taking advantage of the John Lobb “By Request” service. Featured inside of the capsule, the drawers contain various detailing choices of leather samples, color charts, soles, and a selection of different metals for the buckles that allow the customer the ability to create his special pair.

With John Lobb’s ‘Bespoke’ service, customers can go into the private salon for a measurement session for a handcrafted process that involves the contour of the foot to be sculpted by hand in hornbeam wood. From there, the pair of shoes will be constructed in the finest leather.

To celebrate the new Flagship, John Lobb is also debuting a new twist on the classic working boot. First introduced in the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2023 collection, Peak is a Norwegian-welted robust lace-up ankle boot that features a lug sole whose mix of materials is inspired by work gloves, allowing for a form-follow-function approach to footwear while still delivering comfort to the foot of an all-terrain silhouette.

On the occasion of the opening of 700 Madison Avenue, Peak is available in two colors of soft Nubuck available exclusively in-store.
