After she announced her biopic in September of 2022, Madonna has been searching for the perfect actress to portray her. Stars such as Alexa Demie and Florence Pugh, were all considered for the role, but none of them fit. Now, the Queen of Pop has reportedly found her starring lady and has offered the role to Julia Garner.  

From her tantalizing performance as Anna Delvy in Inventing Anna, to her captivating role as Ruth Langmore in Ozark, Garner continues to wow crowds with her acting. According to Variety Garner’s team is considering the offer and expects to take it, however nothing has been confirmed.

Most of the details of the film are still unknown. Madonna will direct the film herself, and wants to give her audience a look into her early life. Donna Langley, the chairman of Universal Filmed Entertainment Group won the script in a multi-studio bidding war, according to Variety, so Universal Pictures is helping Madonna’s vision come to life. Amy Pascal, the mastermind behind Tom Holland’s Spider-Man series, is set to produce the biopic. No other cast members have been announced, but the film is currently in production.

As Garner supposedly prepares to take on the challenges of portraying the Queen of Pop, fans cannot wait to see what else is in store.
