As Cancer season kicks in, July’s full moon has different plans. This month’s full moon is sitting in Capricorn. As the rigorous and work-focused sign, this full moon is bringing a complete switch to the emotional energy of Cancer. As the full moon prepares to make its debut on July 13th, here’s what it means for you.

The moon isn’t the only thing in Capricorn. Pluto’s also in Capricorn this month and is sitting in conjunction with the moon. Serving as the planet of transformation and the underworld, a purge often comes about when Pluto is in line with another planet. Since the moon already possesses high emotional properties, and with the amplification of Pluto, extremely challenging times may lie ahead. Secret truths, emotions, and buried thoughts may come to the surface, but know that at the end of this rocky road is peace and healing.

Now that you know how much energy this full moon holds, here’s how you can make the most of it. Before the full moon takes effect, take inventory of your emotions and your resources. Is there something you’ve been avoiding, a person in your life you need to let go of, or a problem in need of a resolution? Take note of all these things and allow the energy of the full moon to guide you to the right decision. This time will hurt for the benefit of your future self. If things do turn to a purge, let everything that’s holding you back go. No more playing it safe, and no more keeping things around that no longer serve you. Take this time of immense power and build a foundation for your life that’ll last. After all, what’s more Capricorn than creating a plan and working hard until it's achieved?
