VR’s uses are continuing to grow everyday. From every type of video game you can think of, to the soon-to-be-released Apple Vision Pro, VR is truly breaking barriers. To celebrate the ways in which visionaries are using the virtual world, Meta teamed up with artists Coi Leray and Colm “KidSuper” Dillane for the launch of the company’s new “It’s Your World” campaign.

The launch was hosted at KidSuper’s Brooklyn studio, which was turned into an immersive ‘mixed reality playground’ with interactive spaces where attendees—including designer Katya Lee, former-WNBA-player Te’a Cooper, NBA-player Cole Anthony, and more—could use Meta’s products in unconventional ways.

Features around the studio included an in-real-life Facebook Marketplace with local vendors, a private life-sized 1-on-1 Whatsapp chat bubble, and a live DJ set in VR using the Meta Quest.

Both Coi Leray and KidSuper unveiled new projects which were created or conceptualized using Meta’s VR capabilities. For Coi Leray’s new album, to be released on June 23, the singer-songwriter collaborated with Meta and manga artist Acky Bright to illustrate the music video for her single “Make My Day” featuring David Guetta.

Part of KidSuper’s upcoming Men’s Paris Fashion Week show “How to find an idea, a theatrical experience from the twisted mind of Colm Dillane,” the artist presented an suit and sneaker design—with both pieces draped in real basketball nets—made with the help of 3D creator Joey Khamis using Meta Quest’s Gravity Sketch.

Coi Leray and KidSuper are the first of many, as Meta will continue partnering with emerging creatives and change makers using Meta products to bring their visions to life.
