Junya Watanabe COMME Des GARÇONS x Supreme Collab Drops
The new collaboration is now available in the United States.
In 1994, Supreme opened with the intention to be the home of New York City skate culture, and has since expanded to serve a global community. The brand’s latest collection has been inspired by JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARÇON MAN’S archives.
Junya Watanabe, a fashion designer born in Fukushima, Japan in 1961, began working for COMME des GARÇON through a patternmaking apprenticeship. He started this position in 1984, shortly after graduating from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo.
Watanabe’s innovative approach to creating and shaping clothing is supplemented by his frequent use of synthetic and industrial textiles. This new collection includes peacoats, parkas, pants, and puffy jackets in a variety of materials and styles alongside closet essentials such as shirts and sweats.
The collaboration is available in the United States starting November 4th, and will be available in Japan on November 6th. For more information, visit the Supreme website.
