K.NGSLEY Launches Clandestine Boots Campaign

The sensual campaign sees the Brooklyn-based brand merge utilitarian elements with kink-inspired notions.

“Ever wonder what you’d see if you turned the light on in the darkroom?,” Brooklyn-based brand K.NGSLEY proposed in a statement to the press. “Well there’s no need at Clandestine Club, unabashed and liberated in total freedom to show up truly as yourself – kink and all.”

Since emerging in the summer of 2020, K.NGSLEY has been hyper-focused on designing inclusive, must-have pieces centered around the Black, femme, queer, and trans communities. After the brand’s first expansive collection last Winter, creative director Kingsley Gbadegesin is re-upping his footwear efforts with the release of the club-focused ‘Clandestine Boots’ campaign.

Crafting a world dubbed ‘Clandestine Club,’ the vastly-rising brand is clearly tapping into its nightlife roots and focus on activism and inclusion. Merging liberation and kink, the boot—and accompanying campaign—see muses of the brand showing off the latest shoe with tinges of sex appeal throughout. “Lick that boot, Sis! Make out with the hottie giving you the eyes,” the brand playfully exclaimed in a statement.

Arriving in an all-black, matte leather facade, the newly released shoe merges utilitarian know-how with subtle design notions. Boasting a slim silhouette, the ankle-high boot features a lace-up closure at the back of the heel and a tonal zip closure on the side. Too, the footwear shape is made complete by understated contrast stitching and is available in a variety of sizes for both men and women.

Accompanying the campaign is an interactive “KINGSLEY Frame” filter on Instagram, where followers of the brand can see visualize themselves in the sexed-up, kink-infused campaign. Per the brand, “K.NGSLEY is here to heat things up a little this Spring and Summer. Are you ready?”
