Kacey Musgraves disses Ted Cruz with new Merch
“Texas is cold,” the ‘Slow Burn’ singer wrote on Twitter. “I can be cold.”

Texans remain stranded in crisis, following a historic winter snow storm and sub-zero temperatures–riling at their state senator, Ted Cruz, while he was living it up warm and sheltered on vacation in Cancún, Mexico. One Texas-native in particular, queen of ‘galactic country’ Kacey Musgraves, expressed outrage in a rather comical and charitable way.

The musical sensation’s new merch, dropped yesterday, amidst Cruz’s rage-inducing political, and one would argue humanitarian misstep. Failing to stay put to help his constituents survive the devastating snow storms, that for days has left more than 500,000 homes and businesses without electricity, heating, residents are having to boil water to drink, while tens of thousands of homeless people struggle to find shelter. There’s a tragic irony of to the fact that Cruz was seeking refuge from Texas in Mexico. Not a good move man. To top it off he blamed his kids.
While Musgraves’ ‘Cruzin’ for a bruzin’ merch ranks high with iconic disses, she takes it to a whole new commendable level, by gathering funds to support those directly impacted by the crises and homeless immigrants needing food and shelter. Proceeds from every T-shirt purchased will be donated to the following Texas charities; Casa Marianella, Feed the People Dallas and the American Red Cross of Central & South Texas. So far, raising 50K.
“Regardless if you support him, you gotta admit Cancun was a bad call and that this is funny AF. ? I’m HALFWAY to raising $100k for Texans who really need it. All proceeds are being donated.#FledCruz”
Metaphorical punches are being thrown all over social media, inspiring Twitter pile-ons (it’s not the first Cruz has been meme-fied.)
