Kai Cenat Launches His Fashion World With VIVET

The streamer’s first label enters fashion with menswear, womenswear, leather goods, and ambitions that extend far beyond celebrity merchandise
One of the internet’s biggest streamers stepped away from the screen and onto the runway on September 12, when Kai Cenat introduced VIVET, his first fashion label, at Cipriani in Lower Manhattan. The 8 p.m. presentation followed a nine-month break from his usual streaming schedule, a period Cenat has said he used to develop the brand without outside investors, allowing him to retain full ownership. Its debut collection spans menswear, womenswear, footwear, and leather goods—an ambitious range for a new label.
Vivet is Latin for “he, she, or it will live,” a meaning the brand expands into the idea of living forever. Cenat has described the label as a physical diary of his personal and creative growth. In preparation for its launch, he spent months in Italy learning about textile manufacturing, pattern cutting, and leatherwork from specialists in each field. He has also spoken about the physical demands of the process, particularly the hand-finishing required to close gaps and complete details beyond a machine’s reach.

Structured in three acts, the show traced Cenat’s stylistic development. It opened with the Beginner Hoodie, the first garment he sewed by hand. Deliberately misshapen and oversized, it was styled with sweatpants and heavy jackets worn open. Washed neutrals, wrapped hoods, and exaggerated proportions gave the opening looks the raw, distressed quality of early 2010s streetwear.
From there, the collection progressed through heavier outerwear, slim denim, tall boots, and layered leather before arriving at structured tailoring, silk, and polished leather coats. The womenswear similarly balanced familiar sportswear with more formal elements. A black track jacket slashed with red was paired with a twisted skirt and matching pumps, while an all-white look combined a dramatic shearling jacket with sheer layers. Elsewhere, a scuba moto shirt, varnished jeans, and cargo work jacket referenced Cenat’s Haitian heritage and Carnival traditions.
Leather remained central throughout, with the Cenova bag, one of VIVET’s earliest concepts, appearing across both the menswear and womenswear. The Streamer bag, meanwhile, brought Cenat’s digital identity into the collection’s design language, connecting his online beginnings with this new chapter in fashion.

As for the casting, Cenat looked to his own community. Fellow streamers Duke Dennis, Ray, and BruceDropEmOff walked alongside members of his AMP collective. The audience mixed internet personalities with figures from music and fashion, including Lauryn Hill, Jaden Smith, Luka Sabbat, and Law Roach. The show’s reach extended well beyond the room, with the runway livestreamed as viewers were given the opportunity to purchase pieces as they appeared.
