Since launching his label, Kanye West has made it clear that he has no interest in running a traditional fashion brand. Look back to Season 4 when Kanye shuttled attendees to an undisclosed venue for the presentation. For his latest season, Yeezy is exploiting society's social media addiction to premiere his new collection.
Back in December, Kimye made use of the constant parade of paparazzi that trails them to show off pieces from the latest collection, using Kim as the model. As predicted, social media swallowed the concept up whole. Piggybacking off this experiment, the Yeezy team let lose an army of Kim clones the night before the collection dropped to advertise pieces from the sixth collection by Kanye.
Images of the Kim lookalikes surfaced on our timelines last night, featuring models, social media influencers, and even pornstars. The clones, including models Jordyn Woods, Amina Blue, Sierra Skye, Sami Miro, Sarah Snyder, and most significantly, reborn bestie Paris Hilton, all donned platinum wigs and Kardashian-esque makeup. The crew was even photographed in exact same poses and Calabasas locations that Kardashian-West dropped by in December.
Whether this was an ode to his wife or an attempt to stray even further from the traditions of fashion (or even both), there is no disputing that Kanye knows what his audience likes: his wife. See the Yeezy Season 6 "campaign" below.
