KARL LAGERFELD and Amber Valletta, the eponymous label’s sustainability ambassador, have unveiled their second collaboration. Their previous eco-friendly Spring/Summer 2021 Sustainable Accessories debut with the model, actress, and activist, saw immense success, and received a PETA Fashion Award. This season’s ready-to-wear capsule collection comprises primarily natural materials such as 100% organic cotton, GRS certified recycled linen, a vegan proxy to leather derived from cacti leaves engineered by Desserto, and pre-consumer upcycled material Tencel™ x Refibra™ by Lenzing.

“Working with Amber has pushed us to think outside of the box, even more, when it comes to innovation and design. The line contains tailored compositions that entail a jumpsuit, blazer, wide-leg trousers, recycled linen ones, a pencil skirt, white shirt dress, pleated clutch, and crossbody bag. It also includes a reimagined KARL LAGERFELD Odina biker jacket, which serves as its standout hero piece and a little black dress. The collection also brings back the K/Kushion bag the late Karl Lagerfeld was known to sport during his travels.

“It was important that the collection be designed with timelessness in mind since this idea is closely tied with sustainability and extending the life of our clothes. These are classic, seasonless pieces that can easily be interchanged to create multiple looks,” Amber Valletta expressed.

KARL LAGERFELD and Amber Valletta’s second collection pre-launches today on KARL LAGERFELD’s official website, FARFETCH, and Zalando. On April 7th, the collection will be available for purchase at KARL LAGERFELD retail locations and premium wholesale distribution.
