Kat Cunning Releases New Single ‘Broken Heart’

Get a head start on Hollywood’s next big thing

If you haven’t already heard of artist Kat Cunning, it’s a safe bet to say you’re about to. The singer and actress, who you might know for their work in the Netflix show Trinkets or HBO’s The Deuce, has released their latest single, ‘Broken Heart’, today. Co-written and produced by John Martin, the song is clad in vulnerability with a catchy tune to match.

Cunning says, ” ‘Broken Heart’ is about freedom. I wrote it for the dance floor. Queer night clubs have given me a sacred space where I feel free and freaky and fucking perfect and that feeling is more potent than the pheromones in the air or any of the voices in my life that have told me otherwise. Your shame is garbage. Dance to this.”

As an active voice and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, Cunning began their career as a dancer before making their Broadway debut in Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Kat will also be featured in Marry Me, a film coming this summer starring Jennifer Lopez.
