Kate Moss Collaborates with Messika for a High Jewelry Fashion Show

The very first show of the Messika house welcomes an array of elegant and ornate pieces that are perfect for the everyday woman.

This isn’t what you typically see during fashion week. On October 3rd, Kate Moss and Valérie Messika presented the first high jewelry fashion show of the Messika house. The collaborative collection between the supermodel and designer was meant to combine fashion and diamonds, all while emphasizing female empowerment.

Hosted at the iconic Ritz Paris, the show contained an array of dainty silver and gold pieces that exuded femininity and timeless elegance. There was a plethora of statement earrings, sparkling ear cuffs and emblematic necklaces that fell at the center of the chest. Headpieces with unique shapes were also a major part of the collection, with some reminiscent of a Greek goddess and others less ornamental.

Outside of your standard diamond, a large quantity of pieces were emerald and honey-toned, which stood out just as much as the opulent nose ring chain. The collection was everything of the Messika house—luxurious, utilitarian and minimalistic—but with more decorative and ornate pieces that highlighted the female body.

To celebrate the collaboration, Moss and Messika invited celebrity guests who have been a part of the jewelry brand’s history, including Cardi B, Toni Garrn and Tina Kunakey. Models who have previously worked with Messika, such as Taylor Hill, Cindy Bruna, Isabeli Fontana, Constance Jablonski and Edita Vilkevičiūtė, also helped bring the collection to life.
