Katy Perry has announced the name of her new album, Witness, which will drop June 9 on Capitol Records (yes, that's why she wore the word atop her head at the Met Ball). Singles released so far off of the album include “Chained to the Rhythm” and “Bon Appetit.”
Tickets for the tour go on sale to the public at 10 AM on May 22, but Citi cardholders and Ticketmaster Verified Fans can access tickets on May 18. Witness: The Tour will include performances at many major U.S. arenas, including Madison Square Garden, STAPLES Center, and T-Mobile Arena. Additionally, she will have shows in Toronto and Montreal, with Canadian tickets going on sale May 26.
The announcement video shared with Perry’s 64.5 million Instagram followers features an image of an eye and clips of the pop star’s theatrical performances and costumes, which we can expect to see more of with the upcoming tour. See the video below.
Her last album, 2013’s Prism, was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 56th Grammy Awards, and single “Roar” earned nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
