Kenzo expands support of tiger conservation with WWF

There are only 3,900 tigers left in the wild

The luxury fashion brand has extended its ongoing efforts towards tiger conservation with the launch of a second capsule collection, featuring its emblematic tiger in new graphic renditions. A strong signature for Kenzo, the tiger symbolizes the maison’s founding principles: powerful energy, nature as a major inspiration, and the dynamic “Jungle Jap” spirit.

Rampant poaching and rapid loss of habitat has lead to a 95% decrease in the global population of wild tigers since the beginning of the 20th century. For each piece sold, Kenzo re-joined has pledged to donate 10 US dollars the TX2 global campaign, in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund to support their work towards this goal to double the number of tigers in the wild by 2022.

From sweatshirts and hoodies, to t-shirts and tank tops, the collection entitled About Nature/For Nature, arrives in black and white options with Kenzo’s signature tiger taking on a re-imagined form in swirls of color.  This lineup of essential garments is composed of 100% organic cotton certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS.)

Kenzo x WWF collaboration forms part of a broader team-up, debuting their partnership with the first capsule collection in September 2020. The latest drop stays true their promise to release a new capsule every six months, which will work to improve the sustainability of the French brand’s cotton supply chain and freshwater footprint.

About Nature/For Nature will be available from March 22nd on KENZO.com and in their stores worldwide.
