KENZO Reveals First Limited-Edition Collection Under Nigo’s Direction

After the official debut of his first collection as Artistic Director of Kenzo, the auteur of youth culture Nigo is officially releasing his first limited-edition capsule for the brand for Spring/Summer 22.
Nigo’s first drop with KENZO is marked by the boke, a Japanese red flower that blooms in February, and is marked on each piece marked for the drop. Silhouettes are marked by an embellishment of the KENZO log, where the focus of an oversized hoodie, coach jacket, and Japanese washed cotton twill skirt show that the mark of gender is not a focal point under the leadership of Nigo.
Nigo’s philosophy to leave his mark at KENZO is completely rooted in the capsule, “a real wardrobe for the future, tied to the wisdom of the past.” Through this wisdom of the past, the founder of the house Kenzo Takada is immortalized in this capsule. The boke is a symbol of new beginnings, a signature of determination that reflects what we all know Nigo is capable to withstand.
On February 5, the capsule will be available for purchase in select stores (KENZO Soho, Dover Street Market NY, Dover Street Market LA) and KENZO’s official website.
