Kerby Jean – Raymond and Kering Launch Branding Platform Initiative to Inspire New Talents and Innovation
Introducing ‘Your Friends In New York’

Pyer Moss’ Kerby Jean – Raymond announced the launch of an exciting branding platform called ‘Your Friends in New York.’ The organization will be met with full support from French luxury partner Kering. It will combine fashion, music, art, philanthropy, and wellness to form a community of new talent as well as discover how consumers interact with brands in today’s world.
The organization will be composed of multiple branches, including “an event and experiences arm, an incubator inspired program, philanthropic initiatives, and a merchandise label.” Plans for YFINY first came about in 2019 during a meeting with Kering Chairman and CEO Francois-Henri Pinault.
‘Your Friends in New York’ was later set to launch in March 2020, but was delayed due to the pandemic. However instead of staying on the sidelines, the organization mobilized with a mission to aid marginalized communities impacted by the pandemic. The New York-based company opened its office doors and converted the space into a donation center for relief items such as masks and other medical supplies. Kering also aided YFINY’S COVID-19 relief efforts through a donation.
In an Instagram post, Jean Raymond expressed his passion for the organization, calling it “imperfect but always willing to try.” He also included a mashup of several pop culture references expressing his keen dedication to remaining in New York despite the influx in departures.

The organization plans to “ring brands, artists and the community together in different forms including multi-day events that will also serve as the next evolution of Pyer Moss fashion show,” according to a press release. It will also “continue to focus on pressing issues in local communities, including but not limited to providing mental health services for children and residents of public housing primarily.”
“It is important to me to create and work on ventures that are future-forward, involve the community at large and that will continue to help others grow in the fashion and art space,” said Kerby Jean-Raymond.
