Kid Cudi Set to Drop Man On The Moon III
Check out the new teaser now.
Over a decade after it began, Kid Cudi’s “Man On The Moon” series is getting a third and final installment. “Man On The Moon III: The Chosen” is set to release this Friday as the artist’s seventh full-length studio album. The project has 18 tracks and a star-studded roster of guests, including Skepta, Trippie Redd, Pop Smoke, and Phoebe Bridgers.
Cudi’s team assures the imminent release of videos for “She Knows This” and “Heaven On Earth,” both directed by Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar collaborator Nabil. A teaser trailer for the album gives fans a preview of some of the visuals. Speeding cars and lush L.A. pads are soundtracked by a police siren. Cudi can be seen dragging himself across the floor in what is sure to be a sleek, moody video.
The first two albums in Cudi’s series, “Man On The Moon: The End Of The Day” and “Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager,” were released in 2009 and 2010 consecutively, both to high praise. Earlier this year, Cudi dropped “The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady,” a collaborative track with Eminem.
For those who need to catch up on the story thus far, Cudi explains, “In the last 10 years, Scott Mescudi has been through hell and back. After feeling like his world was over, he found hope and overcame the darkness that was plaguing his life. But happiness isn’t forever. What he thought was peace turns into a nightmare. He finds himself lost dealing with the same pain he had not felt in years. In one night, he must face himself again and fight to win back his soul from the evil Mr. Rager.”
