Kith and Columbia Team Up for a Fishing-Geared Collection
Inspired by Columbia Performance Fishing Gear, outdoorsmen practicality has been reimagined with a Kith touch of streetwear style
In a continuation of their partnership, Kith and Columbia Sportswear have teamed up to create a wide range of apparel and accessories, all in relation to fishing. Inspired by Columbia PFG (Professional Fishing Gear), the collection features pieces that combine practicality with streetwear style sensibilities, effortlessly blending the worlds of Kith and Columbia.
The pieces in the collection have been created with the technical performance abilities that Columbia is renowned for, with fabrications including waterproof Omni-tech breathable materials, Omni-shade sun deflectors, and cooling technology via Omni-freeze ZERO ice fabrics. Jackets have been created with self-draining pockets, utility vests host an army of pockets to store tackle, and suspender systems have been designed with comfortable weight distribution in mind. The range has been created in a natural color palette, reflecting the surroundings that it has been created for; from earth tones, deep water blues, and sunrise-inspired hues.
Inspired by the outdoor powerhouse that is Columbia, Kith has added their own twist in the creation of brand new garments like the Madison Jacket, featuring natural landscape graphics and logo-centric patterning. The clever footwear styling courtesy of Kith is present in the waterproof Newton Ridge boot, practical to wear on the fishing boat while simultaneously stylish to take onto the streets. Oakley has also been tapped in the collection, in the creation of two models of sunglasses that follow the ideal design of the footwear in their combination of utility and style.
The collection releases on Friday April 7, available at all Kith shops and on Kith.com at 11am EST.
