Just in time for this year’s Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you, obviously), Kith has announced a capsule collection of adult’s and kids’ apparel, accessories, and home goods in celebration of the 40th anniversary of ‘Star Wars: Return of the Jedi’. Graphics and movie posters from the original release of the film have been tapped by Kith and turned into downtown-proper streetwear pieces, present on quarter-zips, varsity tees, and a range of t-shirts. 

“I love cinema, and some of my favorite memories are going to the theater with my friends growing up,” shares Kith founder, Ronnie Fieg. “Movies have shaped the way I see the world, and Star Wars especially has had a major impact on me. Being able to reimagine illustrations, graphics, and characters from their archive through my lens has been a dream come true.”

The collection features a wide range of curated designs with acute attention paid to detail, sure to make fans more than pleased. For example, the varsity jackets in the collection feature an Italian wool fabric and satin lining, while embroidered threads create imagery that coincides with patches referencing ‘Return of the Jedi‘. In addition to the clothing offered, the home accessory offerings are sure to satisfy any collector; including wall clocks laden with Darth Vader imagery, a Boba Fett ceramic cookie jar, and a range of cleverly designed co-branded wall posters.

On the eve before the release, Kith has planned a first-look event at the Village East by Angelika Theater in NYC, where guests will be able to get an in-person visit with the capsule collection, before a screening of the 1983 film. Tickets will be available via drawing on the Kith app, which went live April 29th, at 9 am EDT.
