Last night at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Kith and Versace showcased their upcoming collaboration — kicking off NYFW with a certified bang. The runway show, called “Kith Park”, debuted the streetwear retailer’s in-house line, along with special collaborations with brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Greg Lauren. The four-part runway show was closed with none other than the Kith x Versace collaboration, a jaw-dropping surprise debut for the highly anticipated line.

The 24-look collection walked the runway in typical Versace fashion — with a catwalk decorated a lá Versace Mansion in Miami. From puffer jackets to biker shorts to branded track and sweatsuits, the collection was designed with numerous signature Versace motifs and iconography including Greek patterns, golden prints, and oversized gold hardware. The Kith side of the collaboration added the unique flavor of NYC streetwear, with both bucket and baseball hats along with oversized silhouettes for denim jackets and lightweight tees.

As no surprise, the collection featured the logos for both brands on full display. A remix of the eponymous Medusa head logo was showcased as well, featuring the Kith logo over the mythic eyes of Medusa’s face. Notable logo-ed out looks included head to toe Kith x Versace puffer sets, with branded hats to match. The color palette of the collection leaned on the side of what is expected for Versace — black, white, gold, and bright pops of jewel tones galore.

The Kith x Versace collection marks one of Kith’s most exciting collaborations to date, fusing street style sensibilities with over-the-top opulence and luxury. The mixture of high and low merged to form a collection with exciting juxtaposition, and major visual interest.
