Lacoste Hits the Sweet Spot For Tennis Aficionados

No one is looking better on the court than Novak Djokovic this tennis season

Clay season has arrived at Lacoste as the brand unveils an exclusive new collection designed for Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic during Roland-Garros 2026 by Lacoste Creative Director Pelagia Kolotouros.

For those in need of a refresher on their tennis terminology, clay season refers to the stretch of the Association of Tennis Professionals tour played on crushed-brick clay courts. This year’s tour began on March 30 with the Țiriac Open, the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship, and the Grand Prix Hassan II, before continuing through June 7 at the French Open — also known as Roland-Garros — in Paris. It is there that Djokovic will not only be serving on the court, but also making a statement off it in Lacoste’s latest collection.

Inspired by the rich tones, textures, and energy that define clay season and its signature red hue, the collection blends innovation, artisanal craftsmanship, and performance design. The jacket reinterprets a classic runway silhouette through sculptural 3D detailing and handcrafted finishes made with authentic clay, transforming the piece into a striking fusion of sport and fashion.

The back features a howling wolf, a bold departure from Lacoste’s iconic crocodile that instead captures the untamed spirit and relentless intensity of elite tennis players. Every element of the jacket was designed with the movement, emotion, and energy of the Parisian stage in mind. For a tennis icon like Novak Djokovic, only Lacoste could deliver a statement piece of this caliber.

Though the collection was created specifically for the ATP Tour’s clay season, both Wimbledon and the U.S. Open are just around the corner, giving tennis fans the opportunity to explore the collection as the season reaches its peak.

Since the debut of its very first polo, Lacoste has never shied away from its legacy in the world of sport. With this masterfully tailored addition to tennis fashion, the brand once again proves its ability to merge athletic performance with elevated design — leaving one question: what will Lacoste come up with next?
