Lady Gaga and Dom Pérignon Unveil ‘The Queendom’ In New Video

The pink-infused campaign is a trip to a “Chromatica”-inspired world.

After much teasing, Lady Gaga and Dom Pérignon have officially opened the doors to “The Queendom” with a breathtaking conceptual video. The dynamic one-minute film was directed by Nick Knight and follows Gaga in a colorful (well, mostly pink) world that is reminiscent of her Chromatica era.

The clip shows the singer in astonishing, sculptural pink-and-purple-hued outfits while she’s seen inside an orb held by herself and her claw-looking nails; she then roams around kaleidoscopic sets while she carries a bottle of Dom Pérignon and later enjoys a glass of the famed rosé with friends – all to a remix of Chromatica’s “Free Woman.”

“My desire was to create a burst of positive fantasy – a beautiful world that exists only in people’s imaginations,” Knight said of the work in a press statement. “Fantasy is such an important part of our lives; it makes us dream and fuels our creativity. And right now, the world needs celebration.”

The project was styled by Haus of Gaga’s collaborators Nicola Formichetti, Sarah Tanno, Frederic Aspiras, and Miho Okawara, and choreographed by Richard Jackson.

The Gaga and Dom Pérignon partnership includes a custom bottle and limited-edition sculpture that envelops the Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2005, which looks like a metallic veil with its flowing motion frozen in time. The hand-painted model was designed in collaboration with Nicola Formichetti and will be available in an exclusive drop of only 110 pieces, which will be sold privately and displayed at select flagship stores. All profits from the sale of the sculptures will go to Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.

“I can’t wait to toast with you, to celebrate life,” the singer said in a video posted to her Instagram. “And a world where everyone is seen, heard, and loved.” Gaga is still in Italy working on the upcoming Ridley Scott film House of Gucci
