Lady Gaga has blessed us with another version of “Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?)”, as if the original wasn't already painfully beautiful enough. This version will pull on all of your heartstrings. The piano version is the best example of raw Gaga, the emotion dancing along the notes of the piano. The video and single captures not only Gaga in all of her glory, but also the story of Joanne Germanotta, Gaga’s aunt who died of Lupus at the age of 19 whom the song and album is dedicated to. The Grammy-nominated and Platinum-certified album is arguably one of Gaga’s most emotionally charged and uninhibited albums.

The video depicts home video-style shots of Gaga in a gorgeous 70’s era pink dress, frolicking through the woods.  The video goes back and forth between that and a black-and-white traveling scene. Both settings seemingly very fitting for the lyrics — where do you think you’re going, girl? In honor of the video and her late aunt, her label Interscope Records will be making a donation in honor of Joanne to the Lupus Research Alliance to help further the fight for a cure for lupus.

This video and piano version of “Joanne” was exactly what fans needed to kick off the weekend. Watch the video below!
