Midway through her Joanne world tour, Lady Gaga announced the cancellation of tomorrow's performance in Rio, citing "severe physical pain" leaving her hospitalized. It's not the first time the singer has pushed herself to the point of hospitalization; her 2013 Born This Way Ball was cancelled halfway through its run, with a severe hip injury that required surgery and left her wheelchair-bound for some time.

Since then, all seemed well with Gaga, though recent teaser trailers for Gaga: Five Foot Two, her upcoming Netflix documentary, hint at medical problems with a shot of the singer listening to a doctor detailing injections she'll be given to help her cope with the pain.

While Gaga has never revealed the details of what's physically ailing her, it's likely we'll get a closer look via her documentary. V wishes our longtime collaborator a swift and full recovery.
