Lady Gaga Sits Down With David Beckham After Whirlwind Week

The “Poker Face” star capped off a night of gambling with an ad announcement for Tudor Watch.

It’s been a big week for Lady Gaga’s social media. Ahead of rumors of LG6, Gaga has ramped up her Twitter and Instagram activity with cryptic tweets, spa routines, and video game musings. Most recently, the “Poker Face” artist put her Las Vegas residency to good use with a night of gambling at the Park MGM Casino, and her experience was all-too relatable. After coming close to a big win and losing it at the last second, Gaga posted a mysterious poem on her Instagram story. The image appeared to be from a children’s book, and featured a lone egg sitting on the edge of the table. The words read, “One day before breakfast, an orange rolled off the counter and escaped its fate, bouncing happily through the kitchen door. Filled with hope, the egg followed.” Gaga wrote over the image, “I’m The Egg.”

Lady Gaga posted the amusing image on her Instagram story last night after detailing her gambling losses.

Even if Gaga might have been disappointed with her gambling wins, she soon made up for her losses with her recent advertisement with Tudor Watch, in which she and David Beckham meet for the very first time. The ad shows the two icons “somewhere in Los Angeles” in a foggy hillside home, going over introductions. Beckham is characteristically rugged with an uneven stubble and crisp turtleneck, while Gaga dresses simply in black with long, platinum waves. The ad, a teaser for the full video, ends with the hashtag #BorntoDare. Both celebrities have been dominant in their respective fields, Beckham becoming synonymous with the world of soccer and Gaga making a home in just about every corner of pop culture, from music to film to fashion. What will the two talk about? Will Beckham make an even better screen partner than Bradley Cooper? We’ll have to wait until October 30th to find out.

In the meantime, we hope Gaga gets plenty of rest for the remainder of her Enigma tour—and maybe teases a bit of new music for her patient fans.
