Lana Condor Will Host a Virtual ‘To All the Boys’ Reunion Concert for Charity
Aka the virtual party we didn’t know that we needed.
Face it: To All the Boys is a guilty pleasure that we’ve all indulged in at least once during quarantine season. The romance, the drama, the intimidatingly attractive cast – it really has all the themes we’ve come to know and love. Now, Awesomeness Films and Capitol Records just announced a cast reunion in the form of a virtual concert called “To All The Music” and it may be exactly what we need right now.
Hosted by Lana Candor, who stars in the Netflix film as Lara Jean Covey, the special celebrates the vinyl release of the To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You soundtrack and will feature guest appearances by Anna Cathcart (Kitty), Janel Parrish (Margot), Emilija Baranac (Genevieve), Trezzo Mahoro (Lucas), Madeleine Arthur (Chris), and Sarayu Blue (Trina).
The cast will perform songs from the soundtrack alongside other musical artists and even give fans some exclusive details about the making of the film’s songs through a “love letters” segment.
Awesomeness Films has partnered with the Save the Music Foundation for this virtual concert in order to raise money for public school music programs across the United States. Fans who tune into the event can make a donation via Youtube livestream and help save these programs in the U.S. school system. Awesomeness will also give $55,000 to fund the J Dilla Music Technology Grant, which provides music education and tools for students who are passionate about that field.
Some virtual performances include Condor and Anthony De La Torre covering “I Like Me Better” by Lauv and Parrish covering “About Love” by Marina. Cyn, Chaz Cardigan, Ashe, Bad Child, Chaz Cardigan, Anna of the North, and Bahari will also be performing hits from the soundtrack.
