It’s barely been a year since Lana Del Rey released one of the best albums of 2017, Lust For Life, a sonic and lyrical turning point in her career that left everyone excited and curious about what would follow. Surprisingly, we’re about to get our first peek already.

The artist took to social media today to announce that she was releasing “two end of summer jams” next week and gave us a preview of one song on Instagram. “Mariners Apartment Complex” was seemingly produced by Jack Antonoff and, on first listen, sounds like a lush, folksy composition that would have been right at home on Lust For Life. The post also indicates that a video directed by her sister Chuck Grant is on the way. There’s no word just yet on what the second track is titled.

This past year, Del Rey has been teasing that she was working with pop super-producer Antonoff, who had a hand in creating three of 2017’s other excellent records (Lorde’s Melodrama, St. Vincent’s Masseduction, and Taylor Swift’s reputation), by posting photos of the pair together in the studio, hanging at the park, or most notably, looking fierce in white-and-silver suits. The duo looks like a pop goldmine in pictures, and we expect to be proven correct when we finally hear the fruits of their labor next week.
