Opening on May 15 and in partnership with Terraforma, Maison Valentino is introducing a purposefully designed listening room nestled within its Madison Avenue boutique in New York. Set on the boutique’s mezzanine floor, the space serves as a sanctuary for sonic exploration and focused listening.
Created in partnership with architect Francesco Lupia and sound designer Giorgio Di Salvo, L’Atelier Sonore features a bespoke sound system, a handcrafted listening console inspired by traditional cabinetry, and modular velvet seating. While the patchwork of veneered woods and draped textiles mimics the essence of avant-garde salons.

The installation will offer a diverse lineup of international artists and underground icons, including Laraaji, Lea Bertucci, Laurel Halo, Lizzi Bougatsos, Chuquimamani-Condori, Kevin Beasley, Veronica Vasicka, and Physical Therapy. In a celebration of storytelling through sound, each artist will deliver a 45-minute vinyl set drawn from personal archives. This project reflects Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s evolving vision for the Maison, where culture and fashion intersect in unexpected, contemplative ways.
While attendance to the opening event is limited, Valentino will release a select number of public spots via registration on Valentino.com. Beyond opening day, L’Atelier Sonore will remain open daily through August, welcoming visitors to discover a curated collection of records and partake in intimate listening sessions hosted by Valentino’s extended creative family.
