Les Hommes: Elegance Infused Sportswear
Introducing Les Hommes Men’s S21
Les Hommes debuted their Men’s Spring 2021 Collection at this year’s Milan Fashion Week.
Creative directors Tom Notte and Bar Vandebosch designed a series of looks with an overarching theme of unification. Notte and Vandebosch wanted to create a hybrid of clothing that is both elegant but “high energy level.” In celebration of themes relating to human connection, the spring 2021 collection is a combination of classic men’s tailoring and sportswear.
The line mixes leather finger gloves, lightly tailored suits and low-hanging chain belts to produce a casual but rock-star-stuttered character. Pocketed ankle cutting pants are styled with an outerwear sports jacket fusing together activewear and classic Les Hommes’ elegance.
Taking sports and outerwear to the next level, a wind breaker has been completely redesigned to hang low both on the arms and torso. Camo designs have also been incorporated into a number of outerwear including shorts and jackets.
Vests are also prominent in Notte and Vandebosch’s spring collection. In a series of 20 different styles posted on Milan Fashion Week’s website, Models are styled with black-clip vests over a light brown blazer.
Sports-jackets and vests are not the only fabric to be layered. Les Hommes styles multiple models with black leather and chain linked belts. Doubling up once more, attached to the belts are luxurious multi-pocketed fanny packs and silver keychains.
Accessories of note include a black backpack etched with a thin white design of a rose petal. Bucket hats are also frequent in styles as well Les Hommes sunglasses that have been broadened from last year’s collection.
