With YSL Beauty being all about pushing the conventional boundaries of beauty, the cosmetics line will launch a five-part beauty campaign with the iconic Grammy Award-winning rapper and YSL Beauty Ambassador Lil Nas X. Starting with the first chapter titled “The Icon”, each chapter of the campaign will represent a different era for Lil Nas X, highlighting different products and the unique aspects of YSL makeup’s artistry.

“Since the beginning of last year, my partnership with YSL Beauté has been about pushing the beauty boundaries and embracing individuality,” said Lil Nas X. “With this new campaign, we’re exploring my many faces & personalities through five different makeup looks that gave me the chance to experiment with my makeup in a more artistic way. I hope we can inspire the future generation to do the same.”

The campaign was shot by photographer Campbell Addy, who brings his signature vibrant backdrops and distinctive lighting to showcase the high-definition makeup artistry and fierce attitude of each chapter: “Working with the YSL Beauté team was a beautiful, collaborative experience. They really understood me as an artist and left enough space for creativity. The atmosphere on set truly felt like a family creating beautiful portraits,” Addy said.

Surfing on today’s viral makeup trends, Lil Nas X will bring YSL’s iconic products and new launches to life with his own personal twist. The first two eras of Lil Nas X, “The Icon” and “The Edge” will highlight products made for glowing skin and summer festival makeup looks. Such products include the NU Halt Tint Highlighter, the NU Bare Look Tint, the Touche Éclat, the Lash Clash mascara, and the iconic Candy Glaze Lip Gloss.
