Rising rapper Lil Peep is gearing up to release his debut album and has just dropped a video for "The Brightside" in anticipation of the August 11 release. The tender, personal video compiles footage from Peep's first headlining world tour. We see the immediately recognizable 20 year old rapper rolling blunts and performing in arenas across Europe and the U.S. to the tune of the trap and guitar-driven track.

A departure from Peep's usually heavy thematic output, "The Brightside" is an invitation to be hopeful. The member of London emo rap collective Gothboiclique made a name for himself rapping candidly about suicide and depression. Elements of this are still in "The Brightside"—he raps "Everybody telling me life's short, but I wanna die/Help me find a way to make you mine /Everybody telling me not to, but I'm gonna try"—but he's found a way to hang on. If the sold-out shows and shots of him smiling and driving around are any indication, Lil Peep will be around for a good long while.
