This season, makeup artist, YouTube beauty phenomenon, and devoted makeup historian and collector Lisa Eldridge is releasing a new refillable lip color collection to pay tribute to the beauty practices of yesteryear, complete with sustainable packaging inspired by her archive of vintage beauty pieces.
In a world of fast fashion and even faster beauty, Eldridge aims to create pieces to be treasured for years down the line. Designed to be refilled, the Rouge Refillable Experience Lipstick comes in a gold forever case inspired by a vintage Cartier lipstick case (that once belonged to Audrey Hepburn!) from her archive that drove the beauty community wild once she revealed it on her YouTube page—as the mono-material case is 100% aluminum and recyclable, made with no plastics or magnets. The case is also available for custom engraving on the Lisa Eldridge website, effectively creating an heirloom piece.
The Rouge Refillable Lip Color Collection marks Eldridge’s first new lipstick formula since 2019. The luxurious, buttery formula offers a lustrous satin finish with seamless, effortlessly smooth color. Enriched with Orchid Flower Extract and Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, the nourishing formula leaves lips with lasting hydration.
The key shade ‘Audrey’ is Eldridge’s modern rendition of the salmon pink shade worn by Hepburn in her iconic film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s — the original vintage lipstick from the set of the film is owned by Eldridge herself. The other 6 shades in the collection include ‘Ashes of Rose’, a muted rose, ‘Simone’, a tawny caramel, ‘Romy’, a cool pink, ‘Lisa’, a neutral pink, ‘Medici’, a mauve berry rose, and ‘Ribbon’, a classic red shade.
All proceeds from the shade ‘Audrey’ will go to UNICEF, as Hepburn served as a goodwill ambassador to UNICEF, launched UNICEF’s State of the World’s Children reports, and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her work on children’s rights—with Eldridge’s donation serving as an honorable continuation of Hepburn’s legacy.
