Loewe Celebrates their Newest Flagship on Rodeo Drive

The Spanish fashion house has unveiled their Beverly Hills flagship, with stunning interior design and a bust of Justin Bieber

Have we not all patiently awaited the day where a wood carving of Justin Bieber gets looped in with the fashion house that has become notable for their exploration of surrealism? Too niche? Loewe has opened their newest storefront on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, a 3700-square foot space that will carry the full range of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, bags, and accessories.

The flagship store echoes the CASA LOEWE design language, balancing tasteful eclecticism with modern minimalism. The Spanish fashion house has sourced iconic pieces of furniture like Gerrit Thomas Rietveld’s Utrecht armchairs as well as a collection of furniture pieces from Axel Vervoordt, all pulled together by carpets from textile designer, John Allen.

If you’re familiar with the Instagram account of Creative Director of Loewe, Jonathan Anderson, then you have probably taken note that he has a knack for finding delightfully strange pieces of art. The pièce de résistance of the store is without a doubt the painted wood carved bust of Justin Bieber, that sits casually atop a shelving display of shoes. The bust was created by American artist Paul Pfieffer as a commentary on the idolization of celebrity — a fitting piece for Anderson to pick for their store that is likely to be frequented by the stars of the city.

On the note of celebrity, Loewe celebrated the opening of the store with a dinner at Chateau Marmont followed by an afterparty at Whiskey a Go Go that featured a performance from Grammy-nominated singer, Omar Apollo. Friends of the house were in attendance, including Cindy Crwaford, Doja Cat, Emma Chamberlain, Maude Apatow, Luca Guadaningo, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more.
