Loewe unveiled its Fall Winter 2023 menswear campaign, starring singer-songwriter Omar Apollo and Golden-Globe nominated actor Jamie Dornan. The campaign, shot by storied photographer David Sims, explores the functions of body gestures as means to express feelings and sensations. 

This form of silent communication is exemplified with a focus on reduction—two protagonists in a simple yet symbolic space, bringing their poses reminiscent of classical paintings and the clothes they wear to the forefront. 

The clothes featured in the campaign are full of leathers, felts, and velvet, with a mainly warm and earth-tone color palette. Accessories include the Puzzle Fold tote and Terra Chelsea boots and derbies.

Overcoats are a staple in the shoot, including Apollo donning one in a gorgeous lavender, paired with shorts or cuffed jeans and simple undershirts or sleeveless tops.

Inspired by artist Julien Nguyen, who has become a mainstay for the luxury powerhouse including when his works appeared during Loewe’s Fall Winter 2023 Paris Fashion Week show—and his fascination with the old art masters—the photos have a surreally candid feeling through simple articulations of intense emotions.
