LOEWE Takes Over Bergdorf Goodman as a New Chapter Takes Shape in New York

The Fifth Avenue installation unveils LOEWE’s Spring Summer 26 collection and new direction under Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez

LOEWE takes over Bergdorf Goodman, marking their first U.S. presentation as creative directors of the Spanish house; the installation transforms the Fifth Avenue landmark into a multidimensional expression of LOEWE’s evolving identity. Spanning both the store’s iconic windows and interior spaces, the project reinterprets LOEWE’s nearly two centuries of craftsmanship through a contemporary, transatlantic lens.

“With a longstanding history of uplifting creative pioneers, Bergdorf Goodman is proud to showcase Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez’s innovative vision for LOEWE with a 360° takeover of our storied New York City store,” said Tracy Margolies, President, Bergdorf Goodman. “For decades our Fifth Avenue windows have served as the ultimate entry point for customers to immerse themselves in the pinnacle of luxury, and this exciting partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship with Jack and Lazaro, fusing Bergdorf Goodman’s iconic legacy with LOEWE’s bold new vision.”

The window display acts as a visual invitation into this new world. Soft tonal backdrops frame ready-to-wear looks, leather goods, and accessories, creating a dynamic contrast that captures the collection’s energy. Ceramic tile elements, referencing traditional Spanish design, anchor the displays and reinforce LOEWE’s artisanal roots. “For our debut LOEWE collection for Spring/Summer 2026, we set out to find a balance between the house’s 180-year history—deeply rooted in Spanish craft—and our American sportswear vernacular. The collection was guided by a sun-drenched optimism, a sense of physicality, and color that felt vivid and alive. With it now arriving in New York and the installations at Bergdorf Goodman taking shape, the moment feels like a kind of homecoming for us,” said LOEWE’s creative directors.

Inside, the experience continues with an installation inspired by the designers’ Paris runway debut that reshapes the store’s entrance. Saturated blocks of color and layered compositions evoke both movement and clarity. The environment blurs the line between retail and exhibition and offers clients an immersive encounter with the brand’s renewed vision. Among the highlights is the Amazona 180, a contemporary reinterpretation of one of LOEWE’s most emblematic bags.

“There’s nothing more special than celebrating a creative director’s debut collection, and we are absolutely thrilled to bring Jack and Lazaro’s new vision for LOEWE to life at Bergdorf Goodman,” said Linda Fargo, SVP Fashion Office & Store Presentation, Bergdorf Goodman. “Jack and Lazaro have infused their personal sense of craftsmanship and creative spirit into LOEWE’s enduring identity, ushering the brand into the future while upholding the iconic heritage of the house. This takeover gives our customers an exciting first look inside the brand’s new chapter and a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in captivating visual stories as they discover the new collection.”

On view through April 6, the takeover signals a new creative era for LOEWE!
