Logic stepped out of retirement, for less than 24 hours
“Tired in Malibu” heard Logic rap “Retired for a minute, but I guess I’m back, man.”
A new, and since deleted track entitled “Tired in Malibu,” by the former rapper briefly emerged, hinting at a comeback. Less than 48 hours later, has Logic already retreated back into retirement?
In the fleeting one-minute cut, produced by Easy Mo Bee, Logic rapped about Elon Musk and Big Lenbo, before dropping a bombshell line: “Retired for a minute, but I guess I’m back, man.” Perhaps the lyrics are not be taken too seriously, as the Maryland artist has yet to officially confirm his return or even acknowledge the now taken down song.
Last summer, the Grammy-nominated musician announced his retirement and released his final album.”Officially announcing my retirement with the release of ‘No Pressure’ executive produced by No I.D. July 24th,” he tweeted at the time. “It’s been a great decade. Now it’s time to be a great father.”
Via Twitch livestream, Logic bid a tearful and heartfelt farewell to his fans. “I won’t be on the internet for the first time in my career because it hurts me and everytime I released an album, I just wanted to be loved,” said Logic, who chose family life over the spotlight.
Logic’s initial post-retirement move arrived back in January, as a music executive for Doctor Destructions debut album, Planetory Destruction. Although many fans are convinced that Doc is in fact Logic’s alter ego.
