Loren Gray Debuts Music Video For ‘Alone’

The singer-songwriter premieres a music video for her latest single ‘Alone.’

Singer-songwriter Loren Gray debuts a music video for her quarantine inspired single “Alone.

The track and music video take fans through Gray’s dream staycation. Starting in a barren room, Gray transforms into a colorful space strutting a diamond outfit designed by Michael Costello. Sepia photos project Gray’s fictional ex, played by TikTok star Tayler Holder, on the room’s walls.

“‘Alone’ is my first love song, which is really exciting because I’ve gotten to share a more vulnerable side of myself with my fans,” Loren said. “This was the first time in my life that I actually felt inspired to write a love song, so that was pretty cool! I also cut it myself in my home studio which was a really fun experience.”

When Alone initially dropped in July, Gray released a lyric video that attracted hundreds-of-thousands of views. Gray has kept busy since the video’s release and recently sat down with V to talk about her involvement in the re-launch of Gigi Hadid’s Journal Part II which features visual and written pieces by art-activists.

Gray set up a home recording studio at the beginning of quarantine producing a series of singles, which includes Alone. The singer-songwriter told V that solitary has placed her in a “more creative headspace” than ever before.

When she was just fifteen years old, this Philadelphia native moved herself to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music inspired by her love for classic rock, country, heavy metal, and hip-hop. Three years later, Gray has quickly moved up the ranks landing a deal with Virgin Records, releasing a song on Spotify’s top global chart, and becoming a social media icon.
