Louis Vuitton Men opened a Temporary Residency in Soho, New York as a part of the House’s global series, Louis Vuitton: A Walk in the Park.

The two-part, limited edition installation is the first of its kind in the United States. Inside the bold purple facade found on Prince street is a neon world, inspired by Paris’ Pont Neuf. Organized with rainbow nuanced color-coding, a pronounced nod to the set of Artistic Director Virgil Abloh’s debut show in Spring-Summer 2019.

Starting on June 30, the installation features Louis Vuitton’s most iconic sneakers, jewelry and sunglasses. With weekly limited-edition drops, alongside styles exclusive to the Temporary Residency and recently launched sneakers, Virgil Abloh’s legendary designs take center stage.

Chain-link jewelry and Millionaire sunglasses – originally designed by Pharrell and NIGO in 2005 and reinterpreted by Abloh in 2019 – are also exhibited. The collections continue to follow the rainbow color-coded motif with pops of matching hues.

Several other exclusives are also featured, including sunglasses from the Fall-Winter 2021 collection in a new color and a mesh version of the caps.

Hardsided trunks round out the collection, a reference both to the House’s heritage and Virgil Abloh’s unmistakable imprint. Innovative reimaginations of the classic pieces include speaker trunks and special accessories.

On July 9, the Temporary Residency will be converted into a showcase of the Fall-Winter 2021 collection. The collection will investigate the unconscious biases we collectively hold, and attempt to change our preconceptions through fashion. Abloh aims to challenge manmade myths about people, ideas and art through his innovative designs and unique vision.

Outerwear, as well as denim and accessories from the collection will all be displayed. Distinctive leather goods collections including LV Mirror Mirror and Everyday LV Leather will be available, alongside select accessories and footwear.
