If it ain’t broke, then don’t fix it.
Louis Vuitton is reimagining this ideology in their new LV Remix collection by reviving sought-after classics for vintage accessory enthusiasts. This includes the revival of the Louis Vuitton Denim and Vernis designs, along with the reintroduction of the iconic Croissant bag. Louis Vuitton resurrects these discontinued designs revealed in a digital campaign starring four global talents: Phoebe Dynevor, Lous & the Yakuza, Shay Mitchell, and Nana Ouyang.
The vibrant campaign of talent is styled against a colorful spectrum of the LV logo and lights, signaling the array of monogrammed colors in the new LV Remix collection. Remixing the Monogram Vernis collection that debuted in 2000 and the Monogram Denim in 2005, today the coveted pieces from the past are redefined by new shapes, embellishments, and pops of color. The Croissant from 2002, a distinct rounded shaped bag, is resurrected in monogram Denim, Vernis Blue, and Vernis Yellow. The bag is embellished with a substantial gold chain that allows it to be worn cross-body, the shoulder, or in hand. The selection of bags from the LV Remix collection includes ‘micro’ versions of styles, including the Micro Alma Key Holder in various colors and the Micro Noé Bag Charm.
The bags may be the highlight of the release for many but the selection of shoes in Monogram Denim spans an array of city styles such as the Nina Ballerina and Archlight slingback—and who could say no to denim heels? The collection also features the Helios Espadrille line with wedge and flat sandals and a classic espadrille. Key sneakers — notably the Neo Run Away and Time Out — are offered in versions that incorporate the Monogram Denim detailing and the Monogram Vernis in a pastel palette of soft blue, pink, or crème. With the rise of viral videos sharing their escapades of securing vintage accessories, Louis Vuitton not only meets but exceeds the desires of its audience, delivering an unparalleled experience of nostalgic designs reimagined.
