Complete with coordinating luggage and silk accessories, Louis Vuitton’s latest line of New Formal Menswear is a timeless capsule collection. Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams brings his modern vision into the French fashion house’s classic standards for quality craftsmanship.
Williams stays up to date and matches current trends with flared trousers and tightly tailored double-breasted jackets. However, the simple staples like tweed co-ords and cigarette pants remain, but reimagined in a subtle LV monogram fishnet pattern.
Though the suits primarily fall into a navy and black color palette, pops of periwinkle and orange are a homage to some of the house’s other collections this season. Louis Vuitton’s signature savoir-faire is shown off through embossed leather, jacquard silk lining, intricately carved buttons, and a grosgrain pattern.
The Fall/Winter New Formal Menswear line also takes care to play with sportier silhouettes. Business attire and bomber jackets come in more casual textures, like plaid, chevron, and leather.
Accessories, including luggage, leather goods, footwear, and silk scarves, round out the collection. Monochromatic shades of the Weekend, Keepall 50, and other bags pair with various suits in the collection. Smaller accessories like leather pouches and silk stoles, though small, are subtly elevated with a subtle white fishnet checker design. Finally, a line-up of loafers, oxfords, and boots make every look complete from head from toe.
The Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2025 New Formal menswear collection will be available in stores starting Feb. 20.
