Louis Vuitton Exhibited Selected Works at Art Basel Miami Beach
Louis Vuitton is continuing its commitment to the arts.
Louis Vuitton is hosting an exhibition of the curated portfolios of the world’s most-renowned artists as part of Art Basel Miami Beach from 1st to 3rd December.
Many featured art collaborations will be presented in the exhibition, including a panda figure sculpture by Takashi Murakami on a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk; paintings by Richard Prince and Alex Katz; a photo by Jean Larivière, and the now iconic Artycapucines collection.
Meanwhile, there will be two wax figures of Yayoi Kusama in the middle of the Louis Vuitton lounge. Created by Yayoi Kusama herself, the figures represent the solid relationship between the Maison and the revered artist and have become the 10 years mark of their first collaboration. At Basel, new pieces from the partnership would also be showcased for the first time.
Since 1998, Louis Vuitton has been working with big names in modern art and design to promote development and revolution in the two areas. In 2014, the Maison opened the landmark Frank Gehry-designed Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, reaffirming its continuing mission to bring the best of modern and contemporary art to new audiences. This time, at Basel, the exhibition continuously proves the brand’s longstanding commitment to modern arts and design, and its dedication to provide more spaces for artist to present their original pieces.
Louis Vuitton will present during Art Basel Miami Beach at West Lobby, which runs from 1st to 3rd December 2022 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139.
