Louis Vuitton Expands Idylle Blossom Jewelry Collection

The new pieces join a long line of Monogram Flower jewelry, one of the fashion house’s most iconic motifs.
In a fashion landscape increasingly dominated by minimalism, brands are leaning on their most signature codes to do most of the heavy lifting. For brands like Maison Margiela, this has been a tactic used almost since the label’s foundation, leaving pieces largely unbranded except for the four white stitches on the rear neckline. But many brands now, from Gucci to Prada to Dior and now Louis Vuitton, are, quite literally, learning to appreciate the little things.
The Monogram Flower has been present throughout Louis Vuitton’s various releases for decades. Usually found in the iconic monogram pattern on clothing or garments, the Monogram Flower has now found a new expression in the Idylle Blossom jewelry collection.

First unveiled in 2012, the Idylle Blossom collection balances the fragility of the small flower with the glimmering, vibrant diamonds. The new collection features two sets, one meant for everyday wear and the other, a high-luxury set. Both sets employ white-gold casings and brilliant-cut diamonds, shimmering on the tapered petals of the flower.
The fine jewelry set, intended for a wider consumer base, is composed of three new pieces: a ring with a diamond-encrusted band; a simple yet highly elegant set of earrings; and a white-gold, diamond-set pendant. The high jewelry comes with similar pieces, but with more diamonds and extra flower motifs on each of the featured sets.
