Louis Vuitton has recently unveiled its latest launch, the Myriad fragrance, as part of the Les Extraits Collection.

This new addition marks a significant collaboration between the Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud and architectural designer Frank Gehry. Together, they have seamlessly melded their ideas to craft not only the scent but also the exquisite bottles that contain it.

Strategically chosen from a supplier in Bangladesh, now exclusive to the brand, Assam wood forms the core of the earthy fragrance. To complement the Assam wood’s spicy scent, Cavallier Belletrud blends an infusion of saffron, cocoa, white musk, ambrette, moss, and rose, creating “a ‘myriad’ of olfactory nuances.”

Combining elements from the original Louis Vuitton bottle shape, Gehry also incorporated his own architectural designs into the perfume bottle, along with the trunk the scent is presented in. Myriad’s appearance is between a tawny red and amber pink, resembling the boundless array of naturalistic colors.

The bottle also has its own engraving option, allowing purchasers to engrave initials or meaningful numbers. Les Extraits is a significant milestone for Louis Vuitton, as it represents the maison’s transition into the world of extract fragrances.
