Louis Vuitton has revealed its latest menswear collection, the Spring-Summer 2024 Pre-Collection, a myriad of functional outfits with a color palette inspired by nature, community, and looking ahead to the future.

The collection is based around the bonfire, a symbol of unification, used as a gathering place where community is built in cultures throughout the world, simultaneously acting as a symbol of transition and a place where we watch a new dawn rise—especially pertinent as Pharrell Williams is set to soon make his debut as Louis Vuitton’s new men’s creative director.

With the bonfire elements adding a pop of flair to a collection that is primarily cozy and adaptable, burning reds and oranges reminiscent of flames erupt across shorts, jackets, suits, and leather bags featuring the classic LV monogram pattern, as blurred graphics, such as a world map is disguised as camouflage and depictions of smoke and charcoal, create a wave-like, natural effect.

Additionally, aspects of the world around the bonfire are added, from the surrounding dark-green woodlands to the browns of the earth and sand, to the blues of the night sky, and the aurora borealis.

The northern lights illuminate blues and greens in an ombré effect, while full sets of jackets, pants, hats, and bags exhibit the classic Damier pattern. Pajama sets with a patchworked-from-fliers design and a black wool overshirt with the Louis Vuitton slogan embroidered in pearls on the back hone in on the relaxing yet detailed focus of the collection.

The color palette extends to the shoes, which are made to handle the outdoors, including a suede sneaker with trekking laces, a hiking version that’s waterproof, and an all-black crystal version of the LV trainer maxi. Baseball caps and knitted beanie hats and scarves top off the cozy collection ready for a night under the stars.
