As the holiday season approaches, Louis Vuitton has announced a new line of festive desserts. Maxime Frédéric, an award-winning French pastry chef, is the mind behind each new creation. A long-time collaborator with the brand, Frédéric has also led a café at the Louis Vuitton Paris store.

The Yule Log, the centerpiece of the drop, combines hazelnut and lemon in a new iteration of the classic dessert. Three chocolate Christmas trees unite unexpected flavors and textures. The first features milk chocolate with cinnamon praline, chai spices, and Earl gray, the second blends dark chocolate with candied fruits, and the third — also milk chocolate — centers pecan praline and maple-infused caramel.

The House’s mascot, Vivienne, also makes an appearance in skiwear. Made with hazelnut gianduja, white and dark chocolate, and praline, the figure brings a sense of lightheartedness to the collection. Aptly named “Vivienne Ski,” she carries two chocolate skis and wears snow goggles.

A new take on the galette des rois, Frédéric’s King Cake combines caramelized puff pastry with hazelnut frangipane. With subtle sweetness and a luxurious texture, the dessert rounds out this year’s holiday collection of treats.

The chocolate Christmas trees and Vivienne Ski will be available for purchase at Louis Vuitton’s East 57th Street store café in New York starting on November 21. The Yule Log will also be made available at the location starting on December 15, followed by the King Cake on January 1.
