Lourdes Leon is the new face of Swarovski’s Collection II campaign. The 24 year-old model and daughter of famed pop singer Madonna has been chosen to represent the company’s newest endeavor to “serve as a platform for representation of people from all cultures and orientations.”

The new Collection pieces and faces are set to “ignite dreams around the world.” The company says they chose Lourdes Leon because of her multi-hyphenate background. “Model, Actress, Linguist, Academic, Activist, Lourdes personifies the spirit of Swarovski,” said a representative for the brand in a press release announcing the news.

In the image for the announcement, Lourdes Leon was captured in a green scarf top and low-rise denim jeans, accessorized with beaming belts, necklaces, rings, and a belly chain. It’s a callback to Y2K-inspired style that has rocketed to the tops of fashion trends this summer.

Lourdes Leon has been taking the fashion world by storm recently. She just appeared on the cover of Vogue’s September 2021 issue alongside seven other models. She’s fast tracking her career after her runway debut in 2018. She’s now worked with companies like Marc Jacobs for their Spring 2021 campaign this year and Parade Underwear’s winter campaign last December.

She’s passionate about forging her own path in the industry despite her colossal familial connections. In a recent interview with Vogue, she told them that she’s paid for college herself and now lives in Brooklyn to find a community of like-minded creatives to collaborate with. “People think I’m this talentless rich kid who’s had everything given to her, but I’m not,” she told Vogue.

Whatever the case may be, this is definitely a huge move for her career and she will no doubt yield some stunning campaign images for Swarovski’s Collection II campaign this year.
